BIO
Mary Louise Robinson is a composer and sound designer based out of St. Louis. Beginning her artistic journey as a classical singer, she decided one fateful college semester to enroll in a music composition course and has never looked back since then. Her love for sound and storytelling would then lead her to pursue music composition and sound design for a variety of mediums, including theatre, audio drama, and games.
She is a regular sound designer and composer for Kansas City Actors Theatre. She also has had the privilege of working with other professional and academic theater institutions, including Heart of America Shakespeare, The Coterie, Missouri State University, Kent Place School, and Webster University. Her work as a composer and sound designer can also be heard regularly on the Kansas City Actors Radio Theatre podcast channel. In addition to commissioned projects, she writes and produces royalty-free music under her musical pseudonym Duck Duck Music, which is available to content creators in need of music for their work.
When not engaged in her work as a freelancer, she enjoys singing, playing piano, rock climbing, trail biking, recreational sports, games, good food, and spending time with her family and friends.
